Chameleon traces its origins back to 2018 within the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University, under the leadership of Professor Ken Mai. Currently serving as Chameleon's CTO, Professor Mai pioneered the development of synthesized eFPGA technology within his research group.

Geoff Rodgers brings more than 25 years of semiconductor and EDA industry leadership to Chameleon Semiconductor. His career spans senior sales and go-to-market roles at Synopsys, Cadence, PDF Solutions, and multiple successful startups, giving him deep expertise in commercializing advanced IP technologies.
Ken Mai serves as Chameleon's CTO and is a Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where he directs research in VLSI design, reconfigurable computing, and integrated circuits for austere environments. With over seven years leading the development of Chameleon's synthesized eFPGA technology within his CMU research group, Professor Mai brings deep academic expertise and silicon-proven innovation to the company's mission-critical semiconductor solutions.
Robert Bielby has more than 30 years in a wide range leadership roles at Altera, Xilinx, LSI Logic, Micron, and Untether AI. His responsibilities span P&L management, corporate strategy, corporate marketing, vertical marketing, product definition, and product marketing, making him well suited to lead Chameleon’s penetration of high-growth target markets
